Administrative Assistant (Clerk Typist III)
Customer Service - Edmonton
1-2 Temporary Full-Time Position(s) & Eligibility List

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with excellent secretarial skills to provide timely, efficient, accurate and professional administrative services to our Customer Service units. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and interpersonal skills in a similar setting are essential in this role. This competition will create an eligibility list of suitable candidates to fill future vacancies.


Responsibilities:
• Reception services; answering and redirecting emergency calls when necessary.
• Coordinate and schedule meetings, type agendas, and record team-meeting minutes.
• Maintain Customer Service units team calendars, weekly attendance and team profiles.
• Update internal Online People Tracking (OPT) to ensure current, accurate information is available to users of this system.
• Perform a variety of word processing tasks which may include complex memos, letters, and file updates.
• Create and maintain spreadsheets for Customer Service Supervisor’s tracking purposes.
• Coordinate and perform general office functions such as reserve and set up meeting rooms, arrange for audiovisual equipment, set up and return equipment, order catering for team events.
• Printing and accurate distribution of information.
• Monitor 'Closed Desk' mail.
• Maintain office supply levels.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting for minor equipment or software package challenges (fax machines and photocopiers).


Qualifications:
• High school diploma supplemented with several years of administrative experience.
• Certificate or diploma in Office Administration is desired.
• Experience with medical terminology would be an asset.
• Proficiency in software applications such as Excel, Word, and Power Point is essential.
• Knowledge of CIS, Image, EW, Lotus Notes and eCO would be a definite asset.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with people.


Salary:
Salary Range 5 (Start Rate: $39,636 per annum to Job Rate: $44,028 per annum)

Note:
Skill testing will be undertaken for all candidates under consideration. Final external candidates for this position will be required to undergo a security clearance.
