Position Purpose

Under the direction of the PGME Manager, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating projects, support and coordination of any new upcoming medical education-related PG-IT projects, as well as acting as main contact for MedSIS consultation and liaison initiatives. The incumbent also acts as liaison with Computing and Communications Services (CCS) regarding interfaces with central and PGME databases, (i.e. SIS). For these specific projects, he/she plans and oversees the implementation process and timelines and makes recommendations as needed. The incumbent is also responsible for planning, overseeing, elaborating, and delivering where applicable, training workshops for all Program Administrators (PA) working in Postgraduate Medical Education.

Essential Qualifications

„« A minimum of two to three years of experience in project coordination or similarly related experiences preferred
„« Knowledge of project coordination methods, techniques and practices to develop proposals, work plans, estimate resource requirements, risk identification and development of alternative actions, monitoring and reporting progress, and establishing and coordinating the activities of project teams as needed.
„« Knowledge and experience of postsecondary education programs normally acquired through related experience. Preference will be given to candidates that have obtained a postsecondary degree in administration or related field.
„« Experience in administration in a health education environment, preferably at the postgraduate medical education level.
„« Ability of interpreting, explaining and applying policies and procedures.
„« Experience in researching, developing and implementing action plans.
„« Proven ability to organize and execute several projects simultaneously under tight deadlines, including prioritizing tasks and negotiating with concerned parties.
„« Analytical skills to determine needs and provide expert advice.
„« Collegial and a team player, possession of the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
„« Demonstrated maturity, good judgment, confidence and poise.
„« Organizational, interpersonal and communications skills, as well as good judgment, tact and diplomacy.
„« Strong customer service orientation.
„« Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
„« Knowledge and experience with various software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, Internet, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat programs. Familiarity with other software such as SIS and McPost considered an asset.

Contract of approximately 12 months, with possibility of renewal. Eligibility to benefits and union affiliation will be determined upon hiring.
