Position Purpose

Provides strategic advice on academic and non-academic funding opportunities, possibilities for partnerships, communication of research results and outreach activities, with a view to increasing research capacity and maintaining world-class research enterprise at Telfer School.
The research facilitatorís functions have a direct impact on the Schoolís ability to obtain and effectively manage external research funds, the ability of its professors to successfully fund and carry out their research programs and the Telfer School of Managementís image as a research-intensive institution.

Essential Qualifications

Postgraduate degree in a management discipline
Strong knowledge of the role and purpose of research centres in an academic setting
Experience working with the academic community on research development and administration
Experience providing strategic advice on grant funding opportunities from academic funding agencies and other external funders
Demonstrated ability to create, maintain and build relationships and partnerships within the University and externally
Experience in human and physical resource administration
Experience in budget and finance
Experience developing communications strategies and coordinating events
Experience in project management
Experience working in industry is an asset
