Position Purpose

Manages the various stages of production (copy editing, layout, cover design, proofreading, printing) of approximately 25 UOP English and French print titles per year.

Essential Qualifications

University degree in a relevant field, such as English, French, the humanities or the social sciences
Knowledge of and experience in the academic book publishing industry
Experience copy editing and proofreading texts
Computer literate (MAC and PC platforms, MS Office Suite, InDesign)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to cultivate good relationships with internal and external partners
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible
Ability to handle confidential information appropriately

Bilingualism Ė French and English (advanced spoken and written language skills)
