Position Purpose

Performs various financial, administrative, communications and intake tasks for Graduate Awards and Grants and the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, FGPS. Participates in all administrative duties to ensure a high quality of services.

Essential Qualifications

Knowledge of, and experience in, administration, secretarial duties and office work normally acquired through post-secondary training or equivalent experience
Knowledge of financial systems and accounting principles
Experience in interpreting, explaining and applying complex and detailed administrative rules and procedures
Experience in using computer systems and software such as Microsoft Windows, word processors, database systems, spreadsheet programs, email programs, and Web browsers. Experience in using Banner, FAST, CICS (DEPS, SIS, FSMS, TELE) would be an asset
Experience in providing customer service as a contact person
Experience in bilingual administrative writing, excellent knowledge of French and English spelling and grammar, and strong editing skills

Ability to work under pressure and meeting strict deadlines
Good interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, discretion, and good judgement) that deals with confidential information
Bilingualism (spoken and written)
