Job description

Salary (Grade: NC6)

$54,497-$64,115 $70,526

Position Purpose

Works at senior level. Independently plans and executes non-routine assignments of varying complexity requiring deep knowledge of related engineering or scientific theory, principles
and practices.

Essential Qualifications

PhD degree with an outstanding publication record and strong research experience in chemistry, nanotechnology and biology interface
Experience in organic/polymer synthesis, small molecule/protein/peptide formulations, and different cell based assays
Proficiency in chemistry techniques: NMR, FT-IR, GC-MS, HPLC, Fluorescence; formulation techniques: nanoprecipitation, single emulsion and double emulsion; microscopy techniques; cell culture assays, ELISA, and flow cytometry
Experience in translational research is an asset
Having patents and experience with patents applications will be an asset
Highly self-motivated and have a track record of creativity and productivity
Good team player and be able to work in a multidisciplinary team
Strong organizational, analytical and technical or scientific oral and writing skills
Ability to coordinate workflow
Sound judgement in applying scientific principles and predicting or preventing problems.
Ability to adapt protocols as needed (within guidelines) and work with computers (performing mathematical calculations)

Note

Contract of approximately 24 months, with possibility of renewal. Eligibility to benefits will be determined upon hiring.

Schedule with an average of 35hrs/week.
