Upon arrival, each patient is seen and assessed by a nurse. During the interview the nurse gains a better understanding of the severity of the patient’s illness, including an assessment of any pain. This analysis helps to determine how quickly the patient requires treatment and patient priority when resources are limited. Our emergency room is one of the few in Connecticut staffed entirely by Board-certified physicians and nurses trained specifically in emergency nursing. Job Requirements: 3 to 5 years experience in Emergency Room Emergency Room Trauma experience level 2 BScN preferred but not essential Must be Canadian Citizen Current Vacancies in these Units: Emergency Room Trauma nights only Pay & Benefits: $27.77 to $40.00 per Hour $4.00 shift differential for nights and $3.00 for weekends Time and ½ after eight Hrs shift and Double time after 12 Hrs $10,000 Sign on Bonus and Relocation Sign on 2 years contract or 24 months Unionized Work Environment All licensing completed FREE of charge Skills Emergency View Disclaimer
