They are looking for a talented Business Analyst for its Canadian operations.
The role will partner with commercial sales teams and provide value added insights on sales performance metrics, contract profitability and sales discount analysis to help drive the achievement of business goals. He/she will leverage core analytic skills to deliver for the company’s brands and Business Units tasks like evaluation of opportunities, risks, ROI and provide ad hoc analyses to drive strategic commercial decisions. This role is a maternity replacement however they say there is a good chance that should it go well, they will bring you on as a permanent employee or extend the contract if you wish.

Title: Business Analyst
Location: Hybrid, with 2 days in office. 16740 Trans-Canada Highway, Kirkland, Quebec, H9H 4M7.
Position status: 16- month contract + chance of going permanent after or extension. Maternity replacement.
Salary: Salary, will be discussed over phone. For the contract you get, 3 weeks vacation, + benefits, Sun Life insurance that includes medical (including vision) and dental. Their spouse/children are also eligible. Sun Life premiums. We pay: 95% medical premium, 90% dental premium. Additional details at end of description.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide strategic consultation to uncover commercial drivers and define solutions to address business requirements
• Partner with the commercial teams in the negotiation of customer contracts, providing analytic insight and ensuring that all agreements align with corporate standards and support the achievement of the operating plan forecasts
• Analyze sales information to prepare and present ROI analysis for business promotions and business partnership agreements
• Disseminate market dynamics and key learnings to commercial teams (e.g., weekly monthly reports, sub-committee meetings, monthly presentations)
• Support commercial teams in the implementation of new products , customer contracts and price updates
• Support Monthly sales close and reconciliation for marketing promotions and credits for Distribution center
• Manage calculations and implementation of accruals for sales discount structures and offers
• Work autonomously across different software’s and platforms for data mining, data preparation and data cleansing to deliver high quality reports
• Working on special projects, as needed


QUALIFICATIONS
• University degree (BA, BSc, BBA) or equivalent work experience with Business and Finance
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as an Analyst in Compensation planning , sales or finance. General understanding of mathematical functions , analytic, finance and related concepts.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience with order to cash processes and or data with ERP platforms like SAP or Oracle etc.
• Strong accounting skills
• Strong computer skills (e.g., BI Platforms, SQL, Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Salesforce.com )
• Ability to query databases via SQL code
• Exposure to BI tools such as Azure Synapse, Power BI, or other analytic tools
• Experience with Excel proficiency/mastery: Formulas, Power Query/Pivot, Visualizations
• Bilingualism (French, English) , basic French is okay
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Manage multiple projects and priorities • Strong combination of organizational, analytical, communications and presentation skills
• Ability to approach tasks with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines

Nice-to-have but not required
• Healthcare Wholesaler / Buying groups sales experience, preferred
• Health care customer sales data (claims, promotional data, sales), preferred
• Device sales and management data, preferred
